Draft — to be reviewed before launch.
The short version
Pibbin runs in your browser. The sites you block, your schedules, your stars and your usage stats are stored locally in your browser and are never sent to us.
What the extension can see, and why
Chrome tells you Pibbin can “read and change data on all websites”. Every site blocker needs this: it is how the extension notices which page you are opening so it can block it, and how it hides parts of YouTube when you turn on clean-up. Pibbin does not record, sell or share your browsing history.
What we collect
- Nothing by default. No account is required and there is no tracking or analytics in the extension.
- If you buy Pro, our payment provider (acting as merchant of record) processes your payment and email. We receive your email and licence status so Pro works.
- If you email us, we keep the conversation to help you.
Site logos and site search
To show each site’s logo, Pibbin asks Google’s public favicon service for the icon of the sites on your lists (for example “reddit.com”). When you type in the site search, the text you type is sent to Clearbit’s company autocomplete to find matching sites. Only the site name or search text is sent — nothing about you, your schedules or your browsing.
Optional permissions
During setup you can let Pib suggest sites from your most-visited list. That list is read once, on your device, only if you tap the button, and is never sent anywhere.
